Blooming Bulbs

The last couple of weeks we have been busy carefully planting bulbs in our customers gardens throughout Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. We have been planting Hyacinths, Daffodils, Tulips, Crocus and my personal favourite Alliums.

We stumbled across an allium that we don't often see, Allium Moly 'Jeannine'. We have been able to get our hands on a few bags of them. They bear bright yellow, star shaped flowers that are attractive to bees and other pollinators. They only grow to be around 50 cm in height and spread, so not as large as most alliums we come across, however they are sure to make an impact in the borders come late spring / early summer.

One of our regular garden maintenance customers who is based in Bournemouth had us plant around 3000 bulbs in their garden the last couple of weeks. I'm sure this will be a very impressive display next year; some were even planted in her lawn. I will provide photos next year when they are in bloom.
